Diploma Overview

The Diploma in International Financial Reporting is an internationally recognized qualification in financial accounting using International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS / IAS). It is accredited by the ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants) and is aimed at accounting and finance professionals who already have experience in accounting. On passing the final exam, the participant will be able to use the letters DipIFR after his/her name.

Exam Type

The DipIFR is assessed by a single three-hour, 15-minute computer-based exam. There are two sections to the paper split into 1 consolidation question & 3 scenario questions.
The exam requires a mix of calculations and written answers.

Exam Cost

The registration fee is £89 & the exam fee is £132. This allows one exam attempt.

Exam Centers

Exams are held in special centres and students are required to pay additional fees to cover the costs of venue hire and invigilation charges. The closest locations for exam centres are in Lebanon at British Council.

Exam Time

Details of local start times will be stated on exam dockets.

Exam Date

The exam is held twice a year - in June and December at ACCA's exam centres.

Exam Language

The project is available in English.

Exam Pass Percentage

The passing score is 50%.

You must meet the following requirements to obtain a certification of Completion in Advanced Professional Diploma in Planning:
1) Complete the diploma with an attendance of no less than 80%
2) Pass the final exam

Upon completion of this diploma, trainees will be able to:
• Understand and explain the structure of the international professional and conceptual framework of financial reporting
• Apply relevant financial reporting standards to key elements of financial reports
• Identify and apply disclosure requirements for entities relating to the presentation of financial statements and notes
• Prepare group financial statements (excluding group cash-flow statements) including subsidiaries, associates, and joint arrangements

• CFOs, Finance Directors and Strategic Planners
• Accountants, Analysts, Auditors
• Investment Bankers, Corporate Bankers
• Private Equity and Merger & Acquisition Specialists
• Consultants practising Chartered Accountants (CA), Cost and Management Accountants (CMA)
• Graduates/Postgraduates who are part of the finance/accounting team

To obtain a certification of Completion in Diploma in International Financial Reporting, you must complete the diploma with an attendance of no less than 80%.
